The fucked up thing is, the Tree climbing championship city of winterville georgia shirt also I will do this fire may have been started intentionally by union busters. The Triangle factory was a keystone for the labor movement, and the fallout from the fire is a large part of what gave the labor movement it’s power. Arson was not suspected, but it isn’t out of the question as the owners had a history of suspicious fires at their businesses. Surely a locked factory burning down and killing a bunch of people is going to encourage unionisation so that factories don’t lock people inside and don’t burn down. If the conspiracy is true I cod see it as someone trying to start the conveniently stopping the fire just to tell the workers how well they look after them. Both of the owners were present, and one had his children there that day. The fire was almost certainly not intentional.

Now, there is evidence that the Tree climbing championship city of winterville georgia shirt also I will do this owners intended to start a fire later, when the building was empty. They had neglected to haul away scraps and lint for two months, and were likely doing this to collect insurance, as the shirtwaists they were making were falling out of style. This was not the first time they were suspected of doing this. It’s also unlikely that this was a union busting movement. The factory, and several others, had just survived a strike, and come to an agreement a short time prior to the fire. The most likely cause of the fire was a match or a cigarette that was dropped in the lint buildup by a cutter. They weren’t supposed to smoke on the cutting floor… but they did. Fun fact, the owners opened another factory afterwards, and were fined for locking the doors to prevent theft, in violation of a law passed due to the fire at their previous factory.
