I dont think anyone should. It comes off as performative activism. Like kendall jenner with the Trea Turner American professional baseball shortstop Smooth Slide T-Shirt it is in the first place but Pepsi commercial. Tone deaf and a bad fashion statement. Anecdotally, I knew a white guy in high school who wore a Black Panthers jacket with a similar look and he was the worst person I knew. Budding sexual predator for sure. I don’t think he was involved in any kind of anti racist activism at all either, he just thought he was very cool. I think if you’re really involved with some kind of activist community and received the jacket through them, sure. Otherwise keep it to a button or something. Seeing as I think the Defend Brooklyn patch is basically saying defend it from being gentrified yeah no don’t wear this. Cool jacket I agree, just not for a white dude.
