I think being involved as an uncle might be good enough for me. I have 7 total niblings and am able to be close with 4 of them and see the other 3 occasionally. It’s awesome hanging out with them but I also get to spend time apart from them so their bad behavior doesn’t bother me as much as it does their parents. In the short term: My actual mental instability, and my economic situation, that while quite decent, is not enough to assure that a child would have everything they need. But well, everything depends on the changes I’m able to do on the firsts points. I have plans to fix them, but I can also fail, so I don’t really know if I will ever be able to take care of a child. However I feel as though my partner and I will make the best decision for us, when it’s right. Thankfully we have the luxury of not worrying about ‘accidents’. The responsibility that comes with having kids. There are too many people in this world that shouldn’t be parents.
