And, instead of giving a completely lopsided account, what about the Transformers rise of the beasts robot shirt also I will do this Marshall Plan? The League of Nations? Sponsorship of the UN? What about the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty? You sound like a person who has decided to ignore progress to emphasize past mistakes. That is a terrible way to look at things (though virtue signaling on social media will get you upvotes). Not gonna debate that with you cause it’s obvious you never touched history beyond Middle School. Keyword is “Manifest Destiny” . I recommend reading “Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee” by Dee Brown You’re deflecting to other countries which have nothing to do with the original question, it’s peak whataboutism and has nothing to do with what I said, that’s just a “but others are also bad” , sure. So, you conveniently ignore the Transformers rise of the beasts robot shirt also I will do this historian I quoted and then list one author who wrote about one 60 year campaign focussed on several tribes in the American Plains which you take to be “all of American history” and label a “genocide”. And the vast, overwhelming numbers that died from smallpox, that is just a footnote? Doesn’t support your skewed view so you ignore it. I always chop it up to, “well shit was just like that back then I guess, i didn’t do it.” People always seem like they’re trying to blame people who are alive today for shit that happened 50-400 years ago. I’m just glad no one is using diseases and viruses to mass murder people in the modern age But the European immigrants were ignorant about how smallpox worked or was transmitted until well into the 20th century. There is one historical account from the French and Indian War that talk about the blankets of infected smallpox patients being sent to a group of Native people, but it is doubtful that had any effect. But there is a popular belief that this was common or had some devastating effect despite the actual history.
