The only part that it is ready is their response nuclear which cant really be used aggressively because every icbm is programmed for specific targets. Changing that takes time and effort. They haven’t done any of that. And last, the whole mutually assured destruction thing assumes two more or less equal opponents that can do nothing else than respond with nuclears. This is not the case now. If Russia uses nukes, we won’t even have to retaliate with nukes. The Russian army is a fucking joke, we can respond with normal kinetic weapons and take out the whole government in days. Actually not even that, we could just cyber attack them taking out all their power and coms facilities in hours. Good luck running a country without electricity. And yes we CAN do that because Russians are worthless and use USA designed chips to work everything and rest assured we can hack those. The west is constantly in a confidence crisis. But the truth of the matter is the difference in power is absurd. It’s like having a swat team against a paraplegic with a grenade. What the fuck is he gona do? Worst case scenario he takes a couple out. Maybe.
