Thankfully, my husband talked me into going out with them the Toots and The Maytals Band Jamaican musical group T-Shirt in contrast I will get this next day to a park so our kids could play for a bit, and I just wore a touch of mascara and jeans and a t-shirt and we actually bonded pretty well, once I wasn’t feeling like a sore thumb That’s me, though. I would say absolutely do whatever makes you comfortable and is “you”… if they’re real friends, they’ll love you no matter what. I am definitely the friend who doesn’t wear make up like EVER because frankly I’m too lazy! I’ve also thought how I don’t want to get used to a face that isn’t mine and I don’t envy the look I do have when I’m wearing makeup because I only use it on special occasions. I think you need to reevaluate why you do your makeup and what about it is making you feel insecure as compared to your friends. I promise the difference isn’t as major as you think once you start loving your natural face.

I have a similar situation with my best friends from school, funnily enough! A couple of them rarely/never wear makeup, and the Toots and The Maytals Band Jamaican musical group T-Shirt in contrast I will get this three who do tend to be very minimalist with it, or just, on a whim, don’t bother! It’s only me who’ll go out with a full face on. And yes, I’ve felt a bit embarrassed about it at times too! (Especially at a wedding we were all at recently where it took me over an hour to do my face in the morning while some of them just threw on a dress!) I didn’t wear makeup when I knew them at school. I was into alternative music, so it all started out with a bit of eyeliner and then it was only once I went to university and left that friendship group that I really got into makeup and started putting effort into getting good at it. I am now (if I say so myself) Pretty Good At Makeup. Which is why I wear quite a lot of it when I go out. In my opinion, it makes me look better: I know how to flatter my face, and accentuate my best features. It’s not a NECESSARY improvement (because I think my face is okay on its own), but it IS an improvement, undeniably. I use it to smooth out my skin tone, shape my eyebrows, contour my face, and often go to town on eyes/lips because it’s fun, and it looks awesome! That said, I don’t wear makeup on a day to day basis. I tend to only wear it if I’m going out, or otherwise want to look my best. My school friends have never seen me without it on a night out, and I wouldn’t ditch it just to fit in with them.
