I was needing a compliment today!” Everyone laughed, situation subsides and we go one about our day. He’s been let go since that time for unrelated issues but both owners and I were recently discussing past events and that moment was brought up. The wife owner brought up how thankful she was of me to deflect that situation like I did and how unprepared and shocked into silence she had felt. I was happy to have been able to help out and how appreciated it was, I was just bummed that it had even happened in the first place, and how powerless it made her feel in the moment.

Just perspective. I’ve dealt with super attractive people professionally (as a club and radio dj) and personally (platonic and romantic) and have both good and bad experiences related to it.
