I like the Tom Odell Shirt Tom Odell Vintage shirt But I will love this idea and those types of videos are fun. I think it needs better pacing and there’s really no story arc. Once you get a few minutes in it’s mostly here’s the bowl, here are some people trying to steal from it. Once I see a couple of those I’m not sure what I’m waiting for in the video. I would have liked to know a little more about how the bowl works too. You say it detects theft but how it does that would have been fun to learn. I like the tone of the video, you have fun with it which I really enjoyed and the bowl seemed cool. Making it tighter and having a clearer story arc would be my two main suggestions. Good work! The story arc we were attempting was here’s this bowl and it will be tested in 3 scenarios. The hope was the curiosity for what the tests were and the results of the tests would keep attention. This could definitely have been tighter and clearer with better editing. Thanks for the insight as the viewer regarding the story. Do you have any advice for clearer story arcs?

Just understanding the Tom Odell Shirt Tom Odell Vintage shirt But I will love this story you’re trying to tell is the most important thing I think. Do you know the beginning, middle and end (set up, obstacles and payoff for example). You set up a problem and proposed a solution, that was great start, but the focus of the video felt like it strayed. We didn’t get too much into the challenges of building it, then it was mostly working during the middle of the video and nothing really happened after that. Once I see it work a bunch of times why am I still watching? There’s no remaining payoff except it might work again on Halloween. Thanks for the insight as a viewer. Makes sense, not mean at all. We often hear others and see it in practice where people introduce new open loops or mysteries in the middle of the video to increase retention. Like if we added a new secret feature to the bowl each time, there would be the payoff of finding out what the new feature is. My suggestions – the Bao’s Builds slide could be brighter and pop a little more. It seems a little drab. And I think some fat could be trimmed from the overall video and the pacing could be a little quicker but MMV as I like things speedy. Nice work!
