Infections spiked massively in China from near-zero to 700k a day. Half their elderly aren’t fully vaccinated. Things are looking pretty dire for them right now. Makes you wonder what is China’s end game. Since zero COVID is an impossibility either they have to eventually give up and admit that they made a mistake, making the To everyone out there suffering from anxiety You are not alone. There is someone behind you T-Shi Apart from…,I will love this government look incompetent, or keep it up, destroying China’s economy and their peoples livelihoods, also making the government look incompetent. Get enough angry and desperate people and you get the end of the current regime. Having in mind China’s previous track record – they don’t care how they look. And they don’t care about their people. The people are just cogs in a machine, and that is all. You know that nonsense extreme right-wingers said about the government asking us to use masks, etc? They said it was a way to exert control? Not being a democracy, the To everyone out there suffering from anxiety You are not alone. There is someone behind you T-Shi Apart from…,I will love this Chinese government they don’t have votes to prove their right to govern, so they must present themselves as the ‘best possible choice’. They cannot admit to their mistake that their initial con is response is incorrect, though they will probably edge in that direction in the next few years, I don’t see how they can avoid it. They could use the Western method of doing whatever, claiming it was the plan from day one and making sure that’s what every expert says. It’s a mild disease that doesn’t effect kids where only old people die and it can’t be stopped so we just have to learn to live with it. And masks are as unnecessary as quarantining when you’ve caught it. Arguably it’s worse. At least in Nazi Germany so long as you were a normal citizen you’d be left alone. (Doesn’t mean Nazi’s are good by any means) Remember that whole Tiananmen Square thing… the CCP was willing to do that to protestors, now imagine an attempted revolt… how many civilians would be run over by tanks “Medical staff.” At this point anyone can just put on those cloths, break into people’s homes, loot everything, or commit crimes, and no one will ever know who they are. Seems like a wonderful time for criminals. Government agents are storming peoples homes, dragging them away to camps, and you’re worried about criminals seizing on the opportunity? Good grief
