The tuition itself is….actually not that bad. Eventually, issues with toxic work environments, the “doctor lawyer or failure” attitude, attitude towards foreign workers, and housing issues will have to be addressed due to the declining population. Frankly I don’t think education is even the primary factor, only part of it. Just take Japan as a case study, they are also dealing with a declining population, yet don’t have such intense education pressure. Both countries have disgusting work cultures, though. Agreed, or can this be one of those topics that is put in a Daily Thread? There is a lot of misinformation and a lot of clickbait articles. Korea is more than just a country with a declining birthrate. Everything is not doom & gloom. Just because it’s declining now that doesn’t mean it won’t skyrocket later. It feels as though every time I open this sub, this is the only thing anyone talks about. The decline in birth rate has been projected well before feminism was even a thing in Korea. It might be a contributing factor now, but my gut tells me that it’s not even on anyone’s mind when they are considering having a child.

Literally all young men I talk to foam in their mouth if anything is brought up related to women/minority rights and call people “PC충“ I think it is widespread, although I don’t think every people that do this aren’t actually against women’s rights, as there are reactionaries pushing against some admittedly crazy leftists. But so many Koreans around me are openly disgusted at LGBTQ and non-traditional households and even call some men “퐁퐁남” if they even dare to help housework and give more power to women.
