Far right: we should commit genocide against people that aren’t like me. Also we should let rich people can get as rich as they want. Far left: we should not commit genocide under any circumstances. Also we should make sure everyone has everything they need. Centrists: a little genocide is ok. Also we should let rich people get almost as rich as they want and make sure some people have most of what they need. Because the THUNDER THUNDER Shirt in addition I really love this ‘idealists’ on both left and right are fantatics and can’t deal with the realities of compromise and pragmatism Maybe 50+ years ago the problems facing society had a middle ground, the problems facing society today has no middle ground. Really it doesn’t matter anyway. We’ve fucked up our climate to the point that there is no return. It’s just a matter of time at this point. Because Libertarianism, Centrism is just conservatism expressed by people who don’t want to be seen as conservative. Centrism as something distinct from conservatism and progressivism as a political concept is incoherent. Conservatism is the belief that the currently existing sociopolitical-economic hierarchies are essential for society and should be maintained and protected even violently. While Progressivism rejects the the existence of hierarchy and strives to create an egalitarian society.

Centrism assumes that there exists a middle ground between the THUNDER THUNDER Shirt in addition I really love this “extremes” of both sides on every issue but there really isn’t. What is the middle-ground between war and peace, what is the middle ground between freedom and slavery, segregation and freedom? Tell me what is the enlightened middle ground between the right wing belief that Trans people should be legislated out of existence, and the left wing belief that trans people should have the exact same access to the same gender affirming health care procedures cis gender people have. Trans people can have access to medical care but only after they’ve proven to a bunch of cisgender politicians and doctors who start from the position that trans people don’t really exist that they are trans? Trans people can change their names and legal gender but only if they’re on hormones, and undergone surgery whether they want it or not?
