Turns out it is because they were terrible cat owners and never cleaned the box like this pic. Then I met more people who had cats and never even realized it because they cleaned the litter multiple times a day and actually were responsible owners. I went and bought a $1000 machine for my cat so he’d always have clean litter…. he still shits on the floor… I mean I clean my kitties like once a week, but usually once ever three to four days or else she start protesting. What the fuck is this. Poor cat. What the fuck is with people and doing this?! My asshole brother does this too. And their solution is getting an automatic litter-box as if they’re ACTUALLY going to pay attention to the alerts and do maintenance on it Poor cat, I don’t let my litter box go more than four hours without me checking if it needs a cleaning. Yeah a little obsessive, but if I can smell it, my cat would be choking just trying to go to the restroom. To make this even more hell, that is a covered litter box using clay litter. -GAGS- I would report. You figure a cat doesn’t really wipe their ass or shower anyway, so technically if you own a cat, every surface in your place is covered in shit and fur right? Does he know that bacteria from the litter box will travel to the cats urethra and cause an infection. Cats are good at hiding pain and this type of infection happens easily so theres a chance his cat can already be in pain when it urinates. He needs to take the cat to a vet as well as clean the litter box. A vet can provide plenty of information during the checkup about this topic too. If he loves his cat, he shouldn’t want it to be in pain.
