Bro if you go to these startups in bangalore, if you leave at the This Little Race Driver Is 1 Car 1 Year Old 1st Birthday T-Shirt in addition I really love this designated working hours, you will be fired immediately. People fucking working till late 9pm and coming again next day at 10am is a joke. That too 6 days a week, sometimes 7. It doesn’t matter if its a bootstrapped or funded startup, they will expect you to work more. It’s like an industry standard if you might say. Because most Indians are doormats who’ll just eat up every piece of brick thrown at them, be it by parents, relatives or employers. They won’t bother standing up for themselves. And I believe this starts right from the childhood! The parents (and yes reader, I’m likely talking about your parents too) will raise their child with spanks and screams, using the stupid old “It’ll make them tough” excuse while never teaching them to stand-up for themselves. They instead end up raising a human who will take hit-after-hit without ever trying to defend, thinking “I’m able to take the hits because I’m strong” . The academic institutions don’t help either! Those third-class professionals, who only became teachers because they couldn’t find a job, will push their own ego and beliefs down your throats assisted by the boomer institutional codes (boys with long hair = bad, girls with slightly shorter dress = s***s, and many more) building obedient slaves who will be punished if they question any of the above.

Not spanking. But my parents never once taught me critical thinking and I suffered from “I can look, but I cannot see” syndrome. I could never connect the This Little Race Driver Is 1 Car 1 Year Old 1st Birthday T-Shirt in addition I really love this dots to evaluate or interpret a situation. It took me a lot of unlearning to understand that a lot of situations are in my control and I could actually act upon them. I have seen so much bullshit in my organisation. My manager completely banned speaking in Hindi in office. When I wrote a mail about it I was on target. Issuing memo for even 1 mins late. Firing fellow employees for his personal work. I protested a lot wrote several mails. But nothing happened. Also fellow employees are in so much Boot licking I was absolutely isolated in office. Finally i resigned as my self conscious not allowing to stay in bullshit. Tried a lot to teach a lesson but somehow get to know Indians employees are in so much Boot licking it was next to impossible for me. Finally i had disconnected myself. Most of these people know jackshit about the labour laws. If they lock you in like that, call the police. It is a crime.
