Ok now do r/genzedong. They are spreading the This is what an awesome retired Conservator looks like T-Shirt but in fact I love this same misinformation, rooting for Russian victory, claiming Ukraine is a Nazi state with a Nazi army, claiming this isn’t an “invasion” and that the Russians are peaceful, and rejoicing at videos of Ukrainians being injured. It’s an extremely pro-Russia and pro-China subreddit and you will be banned instantly if you say anything remotely negative about either. There’s no propaganda or any kind of consent manufacturing going on at all on the part of the United States, at all. So because you believe that the above comment is a deflection that there’s no truth to it? Burying your head in the sand accomplishes nothing. Reading the comments only strengths my opinion about us reaching the end of capabilities of human language as it seems to not be designed with forum like discussion in mind.

Ukraine uses propaganda also!” Yeah what about it? What about quarantining a sub that openly supports Russian invasion and may be potentially misleading as well as harmful in real life scenarios have to do with a topic so broad as the This is what an awesome retired Conservator looks like T-Shirt but in fact I love this capabilities of certain media do drive global narrative? We do it during most huge wars; we’re usually just dealing with radio and tv. Propaganda is a key enemy tool; pretty much one of the few places where censorship during wartime makes sense. Alsp we have never had an issue censoring dangerous lies-that’s perfectly consistent with free speech.
