And since it’s so conservative and manufactured it is void of humanity that many other cultures have developed over longer periods of time. Taking media psychogy in school, the rise of corporate culture happened more with marketing and advertising. The invention of the radio and the TV made it so all eyes and ears were being dominated by companies that took advantage of a population not willing to question the truth behind their statements and claims for products an services. And began to shape the culture into a consumeristic focused one that bought everything for convenience, pleasure and trendy fads. Even American football was created to include as many advertisements as possible, hence the nature of how American football is played. With lots of downtime for ads to be spoken, shown, and placed on the field. So much of US culture is what us consumers consume, and the influence of consumption is advertising.

Because the This is my human costume I’m really an alien T-Shirt and by the same token and country is huge and we’re too diverse to have a common culture. Even just looking in my state (which is fairly white), we have huge differences by region. And that’s just people who are born here or other Americans. We also have tons of white immigrants from different places. The idea of a shared culture is ridiculous What is white American culture? Like, what kind of traditions, art, or literature do you consider to be white American? I’m total mutt generic white. My lower class Midwest family does not know where we are from. My lineage has German, English, Blackfoot, and Irish surnames. They’ve lived in the French colonized part of Indiana for 250+ yrs. We have no culture. Our food is beef and various derivations of wheat and butter. Spices are salt and pepper. The family trade is working until you die. No musical interests. No dancing. No heirlooms. No stories. Even religion is an afterthought, it’s just a vague assumed jesus Christian thing, floating between the nearest churches, coming/going due to gossip and politics between baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, church of god, Nazarene, and first Christian. We have no heritage, no culture, and no joy.
