Let’s be honest here. They are competing against tesla and Panasonic, who are rushing to open massive battery factories. And while Sony and Panasonic fight similar fights, Honda actually knows how to build a decent car that people want to drive. Is this really a thing still? I live in Silicon Valley where every other car is a Tesla and I don’t really see anything egregious. I saw one car with crazy gaps earlier today, but it wasn’t a Tesla (not sure what it was). I know Tesla has some build quality issues in general still, but panel gaps don’t seem to be nearly as bad as people imply. Nah, people are a little dramatic on the This Guy Rubs His Own Meat Funny BBQ Gift T-Shirt in addition I really love this internet. Build quality is still not as good as traditional luxury brands when it comes to that stuff. Or crooked stitching. Or “leather” that delaminates after 2 years. Or a stupid price point. Or Musk anywhere near it. Sony went with more mature games to counter Nintendo’s kid friendly image. Nintendo has since leaned heavily into innovative new consoles instead of trying to out power Sony (and now Microsoft). I’ve driven nothing but Civics for the past decade and I really hope my next car is a fully electric Civic and nothing more than that. They are affordable and reliable cars and I’d love an electric version.

When my (now) wife first moved in with me, she didn’t have a car, so we found her a 1991 Civic for $700…we got a whole year out of it before I sold it for $500… I think the This Guy Rubs His Own Meat Funny BBQ Gift T-Shirt in addition I really love this guy I sold it to had it overhauled and gave it to his daughter for her first car Same thing with my younger brother’s 1991 civic. It’s totally busted and beat up. Nothing works (ac, radio, you name it) but it’s street legal and it drives. And that’s what a car is for. I bought an 2003 civic in 2007 and drove it until 2015. I then gave it to my parents. The thing is still going today. I found out too late that my uncle got $200 in trade-in value for his old Civic hatchback. I think the door panels were missing, etc. I was a broke college kid, but I could have really used a car.
