It was adorable, but the four of them didn’t spend the whole season sounding like a collection of generically nice yasss-queen clichéd soundbytes.

And that’s good!! That’s what this show should be about!

Case in point: after not seeing her in person for a year, the very first thing she said to me was “Really? Bangs?” This was something I had to unlearn myself. The justification comes from wanting the best for someone, so being brutally honest logically, is best. And hearing her talk about her babushka backs this up for me. I agree with you, there are definitely cultural pieces to this that get dismissed. I was really glad this week’s episode allowed Plane to talk about her grandmother and how strong of an influence she was. That was a very humanizing moment for Plane right when she needed it.

Amanda wasn’t out as trans yet during filming, but something clearly was off in her responses to Jane. Everyone felt it, and Jane should have too. This has nothing to do with her filming the TV show a year back. PJ was making TV with a fellow contestant. Kindness is much appreciated always and we all should live by that. In our personal lives.
