I really hate just sitting and watching this line of death creep towards Kyiv. I want someone or something to help so badly. When logistics workers do their job, you don’t even realize they exist. When they don’t do their job, they become everyone’s center of attention. The pandemic did shine a light on the This Cool Boy Is Born In April Birthday T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this impressive logistics we have globally and how we take so much for granted. It also shows how fragile they can be if too many things go wrong. Which, incidentally, is a big part of Ukraine’s success as well. Every other photo from a couple of days ago was exploded russian tanks next to ukrainian soldiers carrying javelins. Not alot of Russian propaganda has gotten to me over the years, but them being a military threat is apparently one that did. The Russian threat has always (at least since the fall of the Soviet union) been centred on their vast stash of nukes. Don’t count them out yet. Russia has massive amounts of artillery that they will likely use to grind Ukrainian cities to dust. It’s a horrible, brutal warfare that they’re still absolutely capable of, unfortunately. Look up Grozny. That’s what this could turn into It is almost as decades of modern corruption in a modern country could lead to decades of graft from the army budget. There’s a long list down the command chain of people that want their share of the pie. A few tankers “spill” their fuel into a cousin’s gas station tanks, a few deliveries of spare tires end up at your father’s friend’s shop. You pay the supplier $20,000 for the unit’s field rations, and instead of the correct amount for $20,000 you get 90% of the rations, that are the 4 year expired versions and the supplier sends you a nice $3,000 package with cash. Those replacement parts for your aircraft? counterfeit ones that should have been rejects because during testing they were found to be 25% off from tolerance. But you can get twice as many for the same price and you can show your commander just how efficient you are, really push for that promotion.
