Get the Thin Blue Line American Flag Shirt moreover I will buy this numbers in writing. They don’t have to pay you now but get them to agree to specific things in writing. Like “once I accomplish A, B, and C you will raise my pay to $X and then as I grow and accomplish D, I’ll get another bump to $Y”. “If I am in this new team lead role for 6 weeks and am doing as or better than expected, my pay should rise x% to match the role.” It’s a Trap 🪤!!! Decline the position… they got plenty of money to pay for that role!! And should compensate you or any other person with the same salary!!! Good luck 👍🏿 This is bait. They eliminated a DIRECTOR position and expect you to step in but with no title or raise until a magical moment when they change their mind?

Thin Blue Line American Flag Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

As I see it, if they have chosen you to do what your boss was doing, the Thin Blue Line American Flag Shirt moreover I will buy this title and pay should come with it immediately. If you were to say “in three months I want the title and the pay, and I want it in writing.” and they’re all “cool, sounds good.” what winds up happening is you’re underpaid for a higher role for three months, they find an external hire, and you get a pat on the back at the end of the three months having provided the necessary work for less than they should’ve been paying, become bitter, etc, etc. This could go several different ways, but the red flags are already there that this won’t go how you’d like it to. Nope. The pay comes with the work. If they don’t feel like you’re doing the job well they can remove you, but they don’t get a reduced rate while you step up into the new role.
