As someone whose lived here since birth and gone through the They Whispered To Her You Can’t Withstand Back I Am The Storm Black History Month T-Shirt and I will buy this entire school system in Ontario, I find it horrific how much effort was put into ensuring Canadians are able to blatantly ignore how outwardly racist and violent Canadian society was/is towards the Indigenous peoples. Residential schools were briefly covered in my history textbook, and otherwise Indigenous people were talked about as if they no longer exist. Hell, I had to teach my family (most of my parents’ gen in my family arrived as Tamil refugees in the 90s) about a lot of these topics because nothing in the citizenship test required them to know. When the Wet’suwet’en protests started I ended up having to sit my parents down and explain a ton of history so they could understand.

Don’t forget the They Whispered To Her You Can’t Withstand Back I Am The Storm Black History Month T-Shirt and I will buy this complete disregard and continuing hatred agains the people still. In Japan they used to have “chasing out” rooms for employees who completely sucked at their jobs. As labor laws are more strict in Japan compared to the U.S., you can’t just fire somebody for poor job performance. They’d often place them in a separate room or office and give them menial tasks, like sorting papers or surfing the web and reporting on their activities. They’d be in full view of everybody, so their coworkers could ridicule them, leading them to want to leave. They were completely cut off from the rest of the company; never invited to any functions or included in any meetings or anything. They were completely left out. I don’t know if it is what op is asking about but everything related to the quiverfull movement scares the shit out of me.
