If a circle clears near you, don’t be in the THey Live Obey Newspaper Shirt but in fact I love this middle of it. Moshing/slam dancing is basically a semi-amicable brawl. In fact, it’s best to be well away from the clearing as people intentionally flail their limbs to strike anybody around them. If that’s not your bag, then just do your best to keep a distance. I’ll never forget the one time I thought I was far enough behind the mosh pit when suddenly I got sucker punched from behind. Another pit had formed behind me and I was basically the divider between two pits. I let out a yell and shoved the offender back into the circle – fair play – and then quickly found a new spot from which to continue enjoying the show. As someone (31/m) who just went to their first solo show, just enjoy it. Although mine was much more low key than Rammstein (I saw Ween). Not sure if it’s an anxiety thing for you, but if so – nobody there cares who you are, they are just there to enjoy the show as well. Just be mindful of people’s space would be my only advice. Other than that, it’s one of the better ways to enjoy a concert, and I hope you have a great time! Get Earplugs and learn how to use them. Seriously, lots of people who use them regularly, don’t know how to insert them correctly. Search YouTube on how to use them correctly.

Silicone earplugs specifically made for listening to loud music may give you a better sound experience, having said that, if you can’t get them in time, the THey Live Obey Newspaper Shirt but in fact I love this cheap ones from the hardware store are better than non at all. Soundwise, try to stand somewhere in the middle of the whole concert, the sound is better there. Even tho the base near the speakers is an interesting experience for your insides. Bring flashlight and water with you (plastic bottle). Concert floors are dark and waiting times can be long depending on how many people show up. Wear clothing with zippers so you don’t loose your keys and so, also helps so you don’t get pickpocketed. Any bag you can wear under your shirt is a good idea, for money phone and keys. You need money to buy tour tshirts, btw. Getting one is a good memorial. Generally treat concerts like crowded tourist spots: lots of fun things to see and to do but also lots of pickpocketing. No need to be scared, just be aware that happens. Have fun, stay hydrated, memorise where the toilets and exits are. I wasn’t huge on the idea initially but look into quality concert ear plugs. I got a pair of eargasms and at my first rock concert was 4 rows from the stage. Left the concert pulled em out and had no ringing or damage and was still able to hear everything and sing along with my favorite band. Ear pro goes a Looooong way!
