I lived with a traveling nurse for a few months & that was fine because our schedules clashed so we’d almost never see each other. My wife and I value our ability to just go and do things whenever we want to. Spontaneous vacations, not having to worry about another living being, etc etc. what would happen if everyone decided to not have kids? at some point there would only be 70+ year olds in the world. who would keep society running for them? As a woman I don’t want to put my body through that, women aren’t told enough of the dangers and complications that occur with pregnancy. A lot of women say that they are permanently damaged. I also don’t want to loose my identity and my name to be just “mum”. I also have trust issues and don’t trust a man to help me raise a child, or to stay, I’m sure I’d end up doing absolutely everything myself and be overwhelmed. If my hypothetical relationship ended I would have to be tied to the father of the child for the rest of my life, and then see the ex with his new gf and hate him. I get sensory overload so children screaming or even making any repetitive noises would drive me insane, it just does something to my brain. I’m also absolutely terrified that something would happen to my hypothetical child, if anything happened I wouldn’t forgive myself and my life would be over and I’d never emotionally recover. I have a lot of issues I struggle with psychologically and although I know I would be a good mother, I would be eating myself up with the responsibility and stress and there would be nothing left in me, so I would keep pretending to be okay and I can’t be confident that I would want to keep living, I can’t damage a child like that. There are so many things I’m interested in, discovery, art, psychology, quantum physics, literature, and I can’t absorb myself with it if I had a child. Also I’ve never seen a happy relationship or a happy family, ever, in my whole life, nobody.

We wouldn’t be able to provide properly for a child. Very little money, no car, and me being a total failure. I can’t even take care of myself.
