Demand is the issue, and if you don’t tell your grocer I want kale and lettuce and pastured eggs and grass fed beef you aren’t going to get it. There are two problems, though. Healthy food costs more, generally. Healthier meat is way more expensive than cheap crappy meat. Vegetables are a bit different in that organic doesn’t necessarily mean healthier on an individual level.

Research in past decades found a direct correlation between number of TV screens in a house, hours watched in a day and income level. Health food can be expensive so if you don’t have to worry about what it costs then it’s easier to eat healthy.
