My (speculative opinion) take on this is Russia tried to float or fly some dirty bombs or something and we incinerated them with advanced weaponry. If we shot a missile or other similarly sized craft I doubt there would be much to recover. Things are not going to blow apart like in cartoons and fall to the There’s only one stuart Dallas shirt Additionally,I will love this ground when you are using US level weapons. They are probably keeping it quiet to not cause panic. Putin might be that desperate considering the situation he has put himself and Russia in. If it were ETs I refuse to believe they would have the capability to get here and then be taken out by hairless monkeys. Their ability would almost surely be unfathomable to humans. The idea that someone posted about – that they tried but couldn’t shoot them down. Or that they shit at them and hey disappeared or moved away and just assumed they were destroyed. What a hot fucking mess lol. I think it’s not altogether surprising that they could be facing a lot of difficulty finding these shot down objects. Consider the the fact that they were already very difficult to detect when they were in the air, where up at altitude, there isn’t a lot of clutter that makes it difficult to observe. If you shoot down an object, especially if you are unable to track its decent with sensors like radar to know it’s exact point of impact, you now have the very difficult task ahead of trying to find a small car sized object, or fragments of said object, that already have very low detection signatures, over semi-frozen sea ice and/or land. Also consider we’re talking about finding this in the middle of winter in the arctic (for the Alaska and Yukon objects).

As an analogue think about how researchers go about looking for meteorites. They go to Antarctica (in the There’s only one stuart Dallas shirt Additionally,I will love this summer lol) to look for them because the only thing present is totally frozen ice that looks white, which makes it much easier to see rock-like objects on the ground, and they’re presence on the ice inherently means they’re meteorites and not rocks with terrestrial origins. Its not that there’s more meteorites in Antarctica than anywhere else, its just very difficult to find them by combing through a field, and essentially impossible to find rocky meteorites that don’t contain iron or nickel anywhere else other than totally frozen arctic environments. Looking for these small objects or potential fragments on the ground, especially in the winter in the arctic where snowfall and wind can cover/obscure/move them sounds like a really hard task, and that is on top of no longer being able to rely on the same detection methods you were able to use before to find them while they were airborne.
