Possibly, but super comfy nonetheless. I will die on the hill that this is 10,000X better than skinny jeans because good lord that can’t be comfortable. Kids dress like this now more or less. The baggy jeans and hoodies are the trend in my town at least. It’s way cooler than skinny jeans. A kid wearing those pants got a pant leg stuck on a rollercoaster and it ripped of 3/4 of his pant leg. He was lucky it didn’t take his leg with it Simpler times when I didn’t worry about bills , nuclear holocaust, climate collapse and take out was under $10. These teens would be in a certain subgroup. My subgroup was focused on hiphop and had baggy pants but different. Once in middle school I watched a girl try to kick another girl in a fight and she immediately slipped on her own jncos. Talk about second hand embarrassment. As a 90’s teen I am offended! Not one frayed, dusty cuff among them! Also, I dont remember anyone having shoes quite as chunky as that girl’s shoes.

My favorite were the taxi cab ones with the black and white checkerboards No one wore these where I grew up, but when I moved inland I did see a couple of kids wear them. One in particular wore a lot of toy necklaces. I asked a friend about it and she said, “ravers”. After that I called them “dance pants” with a giggle. Imagine that coming from a 5’11” girl wearing platform sandals. Can’t deny the fashion fun of the 90s. I miss my Grinds and Kikwear sometimes. Then I remember the terror of wearing these while trying to use an escalator. 90s all the way to early 2000s, baby. I was rocking the baggy pants with a billion pockets and loose chains on them; a baggy shirt with long sleeves and jester’s hat with jingly bells on it. Oh and I had long hair with a bright green stripe in it. Those were the days!
