I don’t support Russia in the The Voices In My Head Keep Telling Me Get More Gnomes funny T-Shirt In addition,I will do this least, but this is censorship. Who is reddit to decide what is misinformation? And misinformation is cause to quarantine a sub? GTFO. Edit 2: 100 downvotes and I send an SKS to Ukraine to fight Russia. Yes. Seriously. What address do I send it to? No, I think one thing we can all take away from recent events is how stupid the average person is and how easily they can be manipulated. It isn’t a philosophy anymore than “the sun rises in the east” is. It’s a simple statement of fact and is the answer to the question that was asked. When Russia is known to use misinformation campaigns to aid its goals, which now include installing a puppet state in a sovereign nation via invasion, I don’t think it’s unfair to ban their war assets. I remember there was a period mid-invasion where the sub was almost entirely composed of architectural shots of St. Petersburg, Moscow and other cities, which I’m sure was a completely organic result of genuine discussion amongst users Then reddit would have to shut down though. How about all the misinformation campaigns from every corner of the world? They’re okay, because they “serve the right purpose”? I’d really like some more information on that “weapons of mass destruction” thing the US was claiming before it invaded a sovereign country and destabilized it. Again. Or how about all the “puppets” US forces have installed over the last decades? How many coups have they supported or even enacted? How many black ops? That doesn’t make this “war” (it’s an act of terror if you ask me) any more justified or “palatable”, but it’s hypocritical to look at this in such a one-sided manner.

Please allow me to remind you that censorship is when a government body restricts all speech – not when a corporation decides to limit a targeted functionality. There is a vast difference between the The Voices In My Head Keep Telling Me Get More Gnomes funny T-Shirt In addition,I will do this two and you probably already know this. Its still text book censorship. You are thinking of the right to free speech which only applies to government bodies and not corporate entities. When twitter suspends someone it is still censorship, justified or not. Same thing when a public forum quarantines a board with in. Again, I think you are also conflating deplatforming with censorship. I can understand how they can be both similar and confusing, but they are very different both in function and execution.
