Walmart’s payroll is already supershit, imaging the THE TURTLIES Shirt besides I will buy this fallout from managers adjusting pay by hour is nightmare inducing. There’s a lot of things that are fair that Walmart should follow but good luck ever getting that too happen without unionization. They will never do what’s good for the employee without force. The truth of it, whether people want to accept it or not Walmart requires unionization at this point. Corporate has been peeling away every single benefit from its sales staff, it’s a lesser of two evils situation. Well, considering I tried to say no once and they said, too bad OG if he needs help, they’re more important I’d be willing tobet it’ll be insubordination They tried pulling me for ogp 2x. Both times I did so bad that I lowered their score and they stopped pulling me after that. If I had sent already worked in the department the last time I worked here(had one of the highest pick rates) I would but there’s a certain standard unfortunately. But I definitely do not meet department standards You have to do good enough that they can’t tell you’re intentionally bad, but bad enough that you’d be their last choice. I still got chewed out but I kept reminding them that I had no clue what I was doing, I wasn’t trained for it, and that I got thrown in with no real explanations on how any of it worked. I also threw in “and when I tried asking for more info they kept telling me they didn’t have time to teach me, it’s easy and I should just figure it out as I go”. They couldn’t argue with me much because they all knew I wasn’t wrong even if they didn’t want to admit I was right

I refused to work in deli when I was in the THE TURTLIES Shirt besides I will buy this bakery for that exact reason. I asked if I was going to get a raise and when they said no I said I wouldn’t work over there. They expected me to open the deli with no training and fry food. I was going to be alone for hours, again without ever receiving training! That could be a different situation I guess because of the slicer and the fryer. You absolutely need training on those including set up. I can see how OG would be different but I would still probably make a big deal out of it. Yeah they put that “company needs” thing in your job description BUT that doesn’t mean they can make you work above your pay grade. I mean, if they fire you for refusing to do something that either, you aren’t trained to do or doesn’t fall in your job description, they’ll owe you unemployment until you find a new job. Be careful how you say it, but that worked for me years ago. I told management that I would cover for an area that pays more than I get for a day but that’s it unless they want to give me a raise. They stopped pulling me, probably also depends on how smart your management team is.
