Im from tamilnadu and ive always heard you cant conduct marriage for a year after death .. only exception is if the The Talking Heads T-Shirt besides I will buy this person is like really old late 80s/90s in age. That’s why I said that I don’t know which kind of people follow this custom. But I have seen real life cases of this. Yeah, I’m from ap, and I’ve seen relatives postponing marriages a year due to the deaths of elderly folk. May be some customs differ based on caste? Idk. Lol on the contrary No marriages happen till 1 year in the family (basically barsi) where some one is departed and if for any reason there has to be the marriage to take place they do barsi earlier but it is not considered nice and only in case of emergency it is done.
