I mean, the The Swiss King Roger Federer Swiss former professional tennis player T-Shirt in addition I really love this Dalai Lama just told a kid to suck his tongue. The Tibetan monks had institutional child sexual abuse just like the Catholic priests. There used to be this idea that the CCP was slowly becoming less terrible. In truth, it was becoming less terrible. They at least stopped murdering all their doctors. Some moron with a sax and a cigar even thought that opening up trade would make the country into a democracy. Today we know better. As long as the CCP exists no one in China (Or Tibet or Hong Kong) will be free. Yeah I think the Uighur thing, plus back then the US was getting better relations with China, so it was important not to forget the awful things they were doing. Now the US and China has shitty relations, so we don’t notice Tibet anymore. Like pointing out one more fly on a pile of dung. Whenever the issue comes up, people talk about it. People talk about it on the BBC, which is the closest we’ve got to government-funded media. It’s completely normal to talk about it.

Sooooooo. People realized Tibet can only be freed through violence. Because the The Swiss King Roger Federer Swiss former professional tennis player T-Shirt in addition I really love this PRC ain’t letting go of their prize. The PRC is shit, but it has been focusing on turning China back into a Han dominant empire over multiple generations. Also, the Tibetan government was kind of shit before the invasion. Aaaaaaand silent genocides are hard for the world polity to get worked up over. There is still a #FreeTibet movement. That said, the recent Dalai Lama may unfortunately have partially dampened it with his inexcusable actions in part—who wants to support a movement whose figurehead could be seen as a pedophile, not to mention practices a derogatory custom that was meant to insult a king simply for having a black tongue?
