The Snoopy Tour Shirt has become an iconic symbol of pop culture, representing both the enduring popularity of the beloved beagle and the heyday of live music. Introduced in the early 1970s, the shirt featured the grinning Snoopy wearing a red shirt emblazoned with the words “Snoopy Tour ’72.”

The Snoopy Tour Shirt

The origins of the Snoopy Tour Shirt can be traced to Charles M. Schulz, the creator of the Peanuts comic strip. In the early 1970s, Schulz was approached by CBS Records to create a promotional item for a series of live concert tours featuring Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang. Schulz enthusiastically agreed, and the Snoopy Tour Shirt was born.
