I’m so sorry yr going through this and your little one too. Be strong and this shall pass. Enjoy the The pride and joy of Juinois shirt But I will love this gift of childbirth and hope it gets better for you There’s a lot of misinformation and fear mongering happening in this thread. Sorry OP for the stress you’re going through right now, but these comments are not going to help. Please talk to your doctor if you’re worried. <3 So sorry you’re going through this. I took Zoloft when I was a teen for depression and had an awful reaction. Hope your baby feels better soon That’s so messed up, I’m sorry. I wish you and your baby all the best moving forward, I hope their symptoms ease soon. Also I never thought about how this would be a thing (outside of hard drugs) for pregnant women.. I’m guessing even eating too much sugar, or drinking coffee, could create the same effect.. crazy. Hey, it is NOT your fault. We do the best we can with the information we have. Yoou were misinformed. If anyone is at fault, it's the doctor who didn't warn you full and didnt say "yeah its moderately safe, but in some cases, withdrawal can happen" I think, to be fair to Dr's, the option usually looks like a mother who has anxiety / depression / other mental health issues who becomes pregnant and then either has to drop mood stabilizing medications and risk some drastic mental health problems, or stay on the medication with a small potential for baby to have low level dependence. Dr's have to decide which option is going to potentially cause the least harm (fears of self harm or mother unaliving oneself, seem to be less desirable than baby going through withdrawal). Doesn't excuse the Dr not telling you about the potential harm. Wow. And when I was pregnant 20 years ago, my OB/GYN advised me to STOP taking my Zoloft as it permeated the placental barrier to the baby and could cause adverse effects. Wonder why the medical recommendations changed?

Sorry to hear that. I am on meds and went to a specialised doctor (covered by insurance) that specializes in pregnancy with patients that have chronic health issues and are on meds. Since my doses are very low they told me a potential baby would not have to much side effects after birth. There are both risks with and without medication. Wish you all the The pride and joy of Juinois shirt But I will love this best for recovery! Anything that’s SSRI or an antidepressant can cause withdrawal. I was on antidepressants for 14+ years and everytime I had an issue with the Dr or the pharmacy messing my meds up – I’d go into a full blown panicked withdrawal. Despite its efficacy in treating multiple conditions, like any other medication or drug, there are potential risks and discontinuation symptoms to be aware of when stopping antidepressants like Zoloft suddenly. Research shows that up to 20% of people experience what’s known as antidepressant discontinuation syndrome, or antidepressant withdrawal syndrome when they abruptly stop taking their medication. No — Zoloft (Sertraline) should not be stopped cold turkey. Zoloft is in a class of drugs known as selective serotonin reputable inhibitors (SSRIs). It’s not because of Zoloft addiction but rather the dependence that your body has built on the medication. Stopping an antidepressant medication too quickly can cause serious side effects. For example, many people report dizziness, nausea, and vomiting, among other symptoms, when they try to stop Zoloft without the right taper plan.
