cutting through the The Lord of the Bees Beekeeper Bee Whisperer Insect Premium T-Shirt besides I will buy this crease like that at full speed needs some kind of way to defend against, obviously shoving the forward right into your goalie is dumb but id say dumoulin did as much as he could to avoid that here I can’t believe that got overturned. Only thing I can think of is they decided that based on the turn that Kakko started before the contact with Dumo he was going to be making contact whether Dumo was there or not. But I don’t know if that’s enough, I feel like we’ve seen goals just like this count all year. I thought Kakko skated straight into the crease making contact unavoidable. I was expecting the worst since it was a goal on the ice. But I think the refs got it right. I feel like if Dumo had made contact with the inside of Kakko’s left arm, calling the goal off would make sense because Dumo has inside positioning. But he makes contact with Kakko’s numbers to push his path into the goaltender, so I don’t really understand the call.

Didn’t look like interference to me, looked like he was pushed into the The Lord of the Bees Beekeeper Bee Whisperer Insect Premium T-Shirt besides I will buy this goalie. Could have easily made the cut to avoid contact had he not had a shoulder in his back. It being called a goal on the ice was the call they should have went with, no chance there was enough to overturn that either way. Further incentivizing riding attacking players into the goal. Kakko could’ve cut across and avoided contact if not for the contact from behind as he slowed down. That’s not relevant at all when the contact carries his momentum deeper into the crease than he would have on his own. The cut across the net was the attempt to avoid contact, the contact on his ass made that happen where the goalie was rather than across the front of him.
