Converting a small amount of viewers to paying customers is much more lucrative than ad revenue for small channels Basically like 1 million views like four cents, so if 4 viewers give you a dollar each that’s like 1,000,000% increase in revenue over ads Not sure about shorts, but 1 million views is thousands of dollars depending on your cpm. Good luck breaking 1 million views consistently Serious question: is each 1M+ view video generating that much per MONTH over and over for the The Honey Bees Girls Shirt but in fact I love this creator, or does advertising revenue drop off on old videos? I swear most will miss this point. WAY more steady revenue is had via having a product or service to sell beyond YT. This will then loop back around, reinforce your brand, and your views and subs will then go up as well. Last one is me. I’m monetized and I’ve made some money. But I actually talk to my clients during the The Honey Bees Girls Shirt but in fact I love this video. I straight up say I put very little effort into my YouTube videos. They are basically where I put up footage I didn’t deem interesting enough for Instagram or TikTok. However I upload them to YouTube on the off chance they’ll attract some paying customers. They actually have. Making money from YouTube itself is an afterthought. As a gaming content creator its hard as hell to want to put out content I enjoy making with this pathetic state of gaming as it stands. The lack of good/fresh new multiplayer games that people are constantly on and playing (The Fortnites, Warzones, APEXs, PUBGs even) and wanting to watch videos about is just so low. Every niche feels saturated and its just hard for me to want to upload anything I put a ton of work into that I know won’t gain traction. There’s a couple games Im waiting on that I really hope blow up. Your aggravation is completely rational and warranted, my friend. It’s called being a realist. I have to laugh because there are endless amounts of people that will burn thousands of hours getting nowhere on YT, versus getting a sales job and making an absolute killing with a quarter of the time and effort.
