Yeah seems like it. Nobody really knows exactly what function the The Green Slime Are Coming horror movie toys Shirt in addition I really love this appendix has, if it even has one to begin with. It’s thought that it is a carryover from evolution. Last I heard they discovered it contains a bit of your intestinal flora (beneficial bacteria, so on) that is kept separate from the rest and will periodically release it back into your intestine, which can help you recover somewhat more quickly from certain intestinal illnesses. Sort of a gut flora backup. It’s a pretty minor benefit all said and done and it’s not clear that was the actual purpose of the appendix, but it’s kinda cool all the same. I think I read somewhere that it has the purpose of storing good gut bacteria. So when you get sick and the good bacteria is removed from the intestines, it travels from the appendix and repopulates. Doctors are not 100% sure about this, but it’s a possibility. Probably a good amount of truth in all of these explanations, & the anti science crowd really seems to struggle with any kind of uncertainty on the part of medical professionals. Ik it’s not exactly new but definitely seems like a growing problem… things are getting pretty scary when people are letting stubborn, willful ignorance hurt their own children to this degree smfh

The appendix is, even though within the The Green Slime Are Coming horror movie toys Shirt in addition I really love this gastrointestinal system, a lymphatic “organ”. It helps your immune system, but isn’t required. So if it makes any problem it’s fine to just remove it. I’m sure someone out there will say the appendix is a fake organ invented by Big Hospital to fleece unsuspecting people of their money. I was researching having my gallbladder out (best decision of my life, but I digress) and I ran into someone who truly believed that these organs we aren’t fully sure of the purpose of like the appendix and tonsils were fake and that doctors made you feel sick on purpose so they could pretend to take them out and charge you for it. They insisted that it was impossible to take any body part out and have the person still live, so the surgeries must be fake. They did believe the gallbladder was real and wanted me to take some pills made from leaves to “flush the stones out” instead of “defacing my body.” They apparently believed I’d spend the rest of my life in agony if I went through with the surgery. I was told, “You’ll spend the rest of your life feeling the hole where they cut it out of you.”
