Even hired as a full time employee, there’s an expectation that new hires will be slow the The Green All I Need Is Beer And My Dog It’S Too Peopley Outside Shirt Apart from…,I will love this first few months as they’re getting up to speed. Our interns didn’t even do real world projects for the first 3 months or so. They just did demo versions of proposed new work. Like if we wanted to implement voice recognition technology X build a new project that uses it and show us how it works. Create an app that does face unlocking. Etc. They should go fuck themselves, but you probably don’t have the leverage to tell them that since having an internship on your resume (even a crappy one) is useful. This. Heavily this. They should have your back, and try looking on Glassdoor or other review sites yourself to see if any other person has had the same story at that place. The more the better, these people may have performed this for more than a couple years, but depending on the amount of work, the people involved usually get blacklisted in every institution, which is what they don’t want if they’re predatorily employing kids for cheap to do a full gig. It’s frankly disgusting, this is serious.
