Someone seeking a high would definitely not be coming back for genuine jet fuel. However I found this article suggesting they do it more out of hunger than euphoria And that’s Uganda, not Kenya. Pretty sure I’ve seen reports of this in other parts of Africa aswell so since it’s been reported on by multiple sources at multiple locations i feel that if it was “jet fuel” and not actual jet fuel at least one journalist should have picked up on it.

You can’t get high from sniffing jet fuel and/or avgas. You can just drive up to the airport and fill a big container with the stuff, just talk to the guy at the general aviation terminal and they wave you onto the tarmac to fill up. No, you literally tell the guy that you need a tank of Kerosene filled with Jet A (which is kerosene, that people use to heat their houses), and the person working the desk will waive your car onto the runway and you fill your tank with Jet A kerosene. There is no bribery involved, because that’s super insanely illegal in america, and generally speaking does not happen. Jet fuel is essentially just premium diesel. It sounds fancy but it’s pretty basic. I think most jets can actually run on normal diesel if they need to. How reliable is that info? In my country some kids sent the ingredient list from Monkey Island’s grog to one of the biggest news channels and they reported like it was an actual thing kids drank at night clubs. The news people literally claimed it’s name was “Grog XD” on live TV
