What really helped me was watching Ask A Mortician on YouTube. Caitlin Doughty is so empathetic, matter-of-fact, and has a variety of videos on dignity in death, demystifying funereal practice, historical perspectives, and so much more. I cannot speak highly enough of her work. I don’t think its a fear of dying, its a fear of what will happen to your kids. My kid is an adult. I’m not afraid of dying, I’m just worried about who will take care of my dogs. Nobody really gets over the The Great Gatsby shirt moreover I will buy this fear of death, that’s just the kind of animal we are, but reading Lucretius would be a start Eventually we all get severely depressed (if we’re lucky to live that long) and we won’t care if we live another day because life will suck so bad, so yeah! I think so!

The Great Gatsby shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Go to a place with no light pollution and look up at the The Great Gatsby shirt moreover I will buy this night sky. Then think of the trillions of people who have died before you. This worked for me but I was also on a heroic dose of LSD. just get really high have a self induced panic attack and realize nothing matters and then we die. also death is bliss life is just a stage it doesn’t all really end. I have a very firm belief that the more you educate yourself on death and death culture the more power you have, and the more comfortable you can be. I would recommend maybe watching some videos from Ask a mortician on YouTube. She talks a lot about different death practices around the world. She also has two really great books ! One is actually death questions from children, definitely an interesting read. The other is all about different death practices . It gives me a sense of comfort, knowing how people around the world care for their dead. It’s going to come for us all but being knowledgeable and being prepared can help you feel better. And I understand it’s scary knowing that your loved ones will die. But being able to prepare and know that in the end you have autonomy over what happens to you and your family hopefully we’ll be able to bring at least a little more peace of mind.
