It’s because centrists are not so easily manipulated. Zealots are easier to brainwash; if someone has the The Goth Bride Shirt In addition,I will do this idea that each side has its merits, it’s a threat to both sides really. To me, centrism isn’t always “let’s compromise,” it’s instead to make sure the scales don’t get out of wack. Democracy and a republic are both legitimate forms of government, but the problem is that both are too concerned about “staying true” to their form of government, and will absolutely go against anything that might disturb that. A democrat doesn’t want anything that looks like a republic. A republican doesn’t want anything that looks like a democracy. A centrist is supposed to say, “Ok, yeah I understand that this piece of legislation looks like insert opposite form of government, but that doesn’t mean it’s automatically bad.” They’re to look at the merits and downsides of the legislation and decide if the good outweighs the bad. So, there’ll be times when they’re in favor of legislation that comes from the left, and other times legislation that comes from the right, because both sides eventually bring up something that looks promising. That’s what’s so scary about centrists, because you don’t automatically know where they stand, because they’re always shifting. They’ll agree with the legislation that they think ‘s right, regardless of where it came from.

People like to see it as “not having a strong opinion” or “sitting on the The Goth Bride Shirt In addition,I will do this fence” . Insinuating you just dont care about issues . Very politically inclined people would rather you have strong winged opinions than a middle ground as they see it as you “stand for something” . 873 more repliesBecause immature and ignorant people think everything is black and white; therefore it’s easy need to be an extremist or absolutist. Come join the sane majority in the center. They look down on you and try to make you feel inferior because they want you to join one of their stupid sides. I have no respect for anyone on the far left or right. Do what your gut tells you. I don’t vote on party lines. I vote for a candidate. Sadly, most of them still suck anyway.
