My favorite lately were Alfani brand from Macys. I don’t have a link but at the The Evil Tentacles Shirt in contrast I will get this time there were a few different cuts and lengths available. I second Alfani. I’ve been wearing the Tummy control pull-on skinny pants for years – so many colors and there are 2 different length options! Skinny pants may not be “in” right now, but these pants are so well constructed and feel so comfy. Alfani has so many styles including wide leg as well. You’re buying fast fashion brands that are made to pill up and fall apart, to save costs, and literally so you’ll buy more asap to replace them. Even higher priced brands use the same low quality fabrics and are sewn in exploitative conditions. So paying more doesn’t always mean anything.

Go vintage shopping. Those clothes are decades old and still going strong because they were made with quality fabrics and stitching, and designed to be worn for years. Search high and low for a great pair. Fully lined. Non stretch type. Get them tailored to fit if needed. And they’ll last forever. All these fast fashion brands are mostly synthetic for planned obsolescence. Then they sit in a landfill, leaching petroleum unless recycled properly. Donating them doesn’t solve the The Evil Tentacles Shirt in contrast I will get this issue; it only pushes the problem off on someone else. Would that these brands priced in a return to the manufacturer so they could take on recycling en masse. Alas. Vintage or having pants made by a decent tailor would do the trick. People wanna click and receive, but something lasting doesn’t usually come that easily any more unless you pay and/or make more of a physical effort.
