Plus there were sanctions put in place. Nothing quite as overwhelming as what has been put in place now, but they were there. It did. We implemented sanctions, but Trump revoked them and started a fucking trade war and tariff shit with Europe to get them to lift the the big lebowski, the dude, the dude abides, Distressed, style T-Shirt and I will buy this sanction as well. The president was a Putin stooge back then. Zelenskyy stood his ground, if he supported Russia then Kyiv would have fallen too. That’s not exactly true. At the time, the chairman of the parliament was acting president. It happened right after the revolution. And high ranking politicians from the European Union, including Germany and France, actually tried to help with peace in the region many times. Sometimes it worked, and a cease fire would be in effect for a few months. Even before the “special operation”, the conflict in the Donbass region was considered a low intensity war. Ukraine has only mobilized a fraction of their troops and are still training them to use the most sophisticated military equipment provided by the West. Russia is crumbling economically and will soon be outgunned and outmanned. The war just started like 2 1/2 months ago. This is a war in the real world, not a game of Battlefield. Stuff doesn’t happen that fast. Russia hasn’t been advancing steadily, they’ve lost a lot of ground that they thought they had since the first 2 weeks of the invasion There are no attacks on Odessa except for cruise missiles fired from far away, which are fired at places all over Ukraine.

This hardly seems like it’s going to be worth it, they couldn’t even regain control over Donbas after 8 years of conflict how are they going to get Crimea without blowing up the the big lebowski, the dude, the dude abides, Distressed, style T-Shirt and I will buy this entire thing. Crimea was even more pro Russia than Donbas, they probably hate Ukraine for damming their watersupply too so who benefits from this? Because it’s certainly neither Crimea nor Ukraine, at best I could see an independant Crimea even then how would you enforce this. By being in favour of seceding Ukraine and joining Russia all the way back in 1992 and continuing to do so until 2014. Having multiple referendums to do so be declared illegal by Ukraine and just generally being majority Russian. I don’t see how this would have changed under Russian rule considering the aforementioned damming of their fresh water supply. But I guess how dare I critizise Ukraine’s strategy, after all what right does anyone have to selfdetermination and who cares how many people have to die to enforce this. I’m sure Crimean’s will be greatful for it.
