32M – been single for 4 years. All friends are in serious relationships and are getting married etc. I have my own house, a good job and like to travel. Tried the The antifada 2023 philadelphia pa poster shirt it is in the first place but dating apps and post covid it genuinely seems like no one wants anything serious or even bother replying. Been constantly ghosted and can’t even get date 1. Some days I love being single as I can do what I want but as summer draws to a close it defo makes you want something! Edit: thank you OP for posting this, reading other people’s comments is making me feel better that there others who have very similar stories. Outside of individual occasional events, no one txts me anymore. I don’t mind living or doing things alone, but I miss having someone care about where or just how I am. I end up posting a lot of general things (lots of photos) to Facebook. Probably more than I should.

I’ve (F33) have been single for a bit (classic British minimising of the The antifada 2023 philadelphia pa poster shirt it is in the first place but situation) but have been thinking about a matchmaking service (or something) to try take the faff out of finding someone suitable. I’m pretty happy spending time with my family and friends – and meeting new people… but I struggle to “date” as it all feels so forced and fake. Like they’re at an interview and I’m just trying to find out their interests & have a laugh to see if we vibe…! Feels like there’s no additional attraction beyond being mates which is great for a fun and well rounded social circle but can be sad when they couple up via your introduction and you’re still a looser loner who’s genuinely happy for them while trying to work out what secret magic happened that you – just – can’t – understand. Hardest lesson I ever had to learn. Don’t buy love. Don’t give extravagant gifts to “show how much you care”. The right people don’t need them and they have no impact on those people. The wrong people don’t care, will take the gift, and lead you on until you inevitably see the truth. At that point they say “I never made you or asked you to do any of that. You wanted to give me stuff!” And they’ll be right, but so very very wrong.
