Should be illegal until they are old enough, 16/18. And parents that push this on kids should be jailed and the The Amazing Criswell In Person Big Horror And Magic Stage Show T-Shirt but in fact I love this child took away from them It isn’t done until they’re old enough. This is a political campaign to create a moral panic about something that doesn’t happen. There’s several proven articles you can find. Also a few lawsuits in several countries. Not my fault your news diet is so biased it’s completely devoid of this. Check out ground news! I like it. I will check that site, I’d never heard of it. I work with trans adults and nobody has ever heard of these things actually happening. I know several and consider them dear friends. Not anti-trans by any means. If you know trans people then you know that this is NOT widely spoken about. The subject of kids getting treatments is very much avoided. It’s also important to note that it says NOTHING bad about adults who decide to transition. There’s too much black and white thinking these days. Yes unfortunately. As long as the parents ok it. In some states they allow the child to make life changing decisions. I mean I don’t really care what ppl do when they are adults but Surgery and even messing with hormones does seem a little sketch for children. It’s already such a confusing time in your life. It can be a confusing time in your life for sure. But imagine how much more confusing it would be to get your period as a boy who happens to have the organs of a girl? (That’s not even just trans kids, agender kids exist too) And puberty blockers aren’t changing anything, just slowing the progression so the kid has a chance to make the decision before hormones really start fucking things up (in the brain. We all remember puberty lmfao) Also, providing gender affirming care can help keep our trans kids alive. Idk about you but I’d rather my baby born a son become my daughter than become my dead child.

I feel awful I didn’t do more for my son when he told me he was in the The Amazing Criswell In Person Big Horror And Magic Stage Show T-Shirt but in fact I love this wrong body at 12. I finally let the process start at 17 and it has made such a difference in his mental health. I was in denial and ended up hurting my kid in my own confusion. So much regret. There are some isolated cases of adolescents getting surgery transitions to change their sex, but this is highly unusual and is generally discouraged by most medical boards and the transgender community. Even most forms of hormone therapy are postponed until the person is 18. The only form of medical transitioning widely done before 18 is puberty blockers, which are reversible. Aside from that, transitioning before that age generally only involves social transitioning, such as using their correct name and pronouns. Even after 18, hormone therapy and surgery isn’t recommended until the person has gone through enough therapy to ensure that it is the best thing for them.
