Bucharesti, Romania 1993. My family stopped on a trip as a young kid and it was abject poverty, prostitution, and the Texas Rangers Longest Road Win Streak In Mlb Postseason History 2023 shirt and I love this worst, run-down communist architecture I’ve ever seen. Worse, there were glimmers of the city’s former beauty in the churches and belle époque buildings, but they were mostly decrepid and falling apart. I’ve visited Romania and Bucharesti many times since and the country is nearly indistinguishable from what it was back then. There’s still “ugly” in the city, but now it’s mostly obnoxious drunken Brits on stag dos. It was a bit of a shock but when interrailing through europe I expected Belgiums capital Bryssel to be wealthy and clean. It is the land of chocolate, headquarters of the european comission and 18th richest country after all. Well after exiting the trainstation it was one of the worst slums I’ve seen. The smell of urine everywhere, people sleeping under bridges, shady looking people and construction sites everywhere. Apart from the few main shopping streets where the most grand palaces, musems and town hall are it’s back to the filthy experience. Probably would get better if youd exit further from the trainstation but that was the ugliest I’ve seen. São Paulo. Specially if you cross the rivers there, you’re likely to see furniture floating while the smell of death takes over your nasal cavities

There are a lot of beautiful parts of the Texas Rangers Longest Road Win Streak In Mlb Postseason History 2023 shirt and I love this city as well, but most of it is just a concrete and skyscraper shitfest My sister used to live in a section of West Virginia that was off the major roads a bit. There’s was like 3 junk yards on the way to her house that looked like some average home owners just slapped up some fencing, run down gas stations that supposedly had back room gambling and then there was the strip club that looked like you would get a rusty screw driver in the kidney once you walked it. London, ontario. Streets were full of trash and graffiti and the entire place was just very drab with ugly and boring architecture I have to drive through there regularly on my way to Toronto – sometimes in the middle of the night on the 401. I always know I’m a half hour or so from London because someone fucked up when they were paving the highway and there are these little bumps for like 20 minutes of driving that are fucking ruining my car (starts somewhere between West Lorne and Dutton). Then I know I’ve reached the outskirts of London when the bumping stops and I can smell that horrible rotten egg smell in the air.
