I had a company do this and I was too young and dumb to know better. They never coughed up the Texas Rangers Go And Take It Team Players ALCS 2023 Shirt Additionally,I will love this extra money and in fact rolled another position into mine so I was doing 3 jobs. I would decline the offer respectfully. Too much ambiguity in what they are saying with your raise and new title being granted after they are comfortable. You’re gonna get trained on how to be a director, and if they won’t pay you then they are still giving you the title and the section on your CV. Turning it down is a dumb thing to do. Don’t trust the people here who hate every company and everyone in management. SirGlenn: I’ve been there too many times, “just wait awhile for us to make a better compensation plan for you.” SUCKER! I got something similar, and 6 months later, I have no title change. I did get twice the regular annual scheduled raise, though. I was told that the promotion would come afterwards, so my salary increase is calculated off of my now higher base salary. And I went from being individual contributor to managing two people. I kept substantial amount of my duties in terms of their importance to the company, but they occupy only about 40% of my time. The rest has been distributed to my two team members and managing them does not take a lot (I’m very off hands, millennial “do your job and we’re good” manager). So I did end up with less to do and more marketable responsibilities. And honestly, it was worth it, despite no promotion and related raise quite yet.

I’m currently in this exact same situation with just a few title differences. They let my manager go in January and I’m just a Team Lead. I was never given what they promised and am currently looking for a job elsewhere. “You can give me the Texas Rangers Go And Take It Team Players ALCS 2023 Shirt Additionally,I will love this raise now and if within the first three months it’s not working out for you then you demote me back down and lower my pay. I’ll at least do well enough to keep the ship going while you find someone else so overall you’re still getting a good deal. $____ is what I expect monthly based on my own market research.” “That’s fine, we can make up the compensation deficit with PTO. I’ll probably be taking Fridays off and one Thursday a month in addition to my otherwise accruing time while we figure out the financial part.” You’re basically an interim manager if you don’t work out and they have to find someone else without the pay. Don’t do any work you’re not being paid for. Request the pay raise immediately, if they don’t give it to you then don’t take the position.
