Leave a note saying they are for them, we are not allowed to take things out of a mail box and keep/use them. Something our higher ups will do is put money or other things in mailboxes to see if we will steal them. Even if it’s labeled “Mail carrier, please use me.” I’ve left holiday cards and little thank you gifts for them to show our appreciation for the Texas Rangers American Language Champions 2023 Shirt Apart from…,I will love this hard work and it would break my wife’s heart to learn they were wasted because of some policy. If it’s labeled it’s okay. Also if you’re friendly enough with your carrier that you’re getting them things it’s safe to assume they aren’t leaving them. It’s something they do more to new carriers for instance when I first started I found like $20 in someones mail box I just left it. I love my carrier, have had him for many years. I have a refrigerator in my garage and I gave him the key so he can go in and raid the Gatorade, soda pops, icy pops, ice, and water as he wishes. He leaves me good rubber bands or candies for tradezies.

This was only possible because it was a pretty small town so not a shit ton of mail, but his reasoning was that it would be unbearable without AC/heating. My friend does the Texas Rangers American Language Champions 2023 Shirt Apart from…,I will love this same thing but because there’s no way in hell he’s driving those rinky dinky mail carrier trucks on two lane highways with semis, pickups, and SUVs on the road (hell even a sedan would total those things, it’s insane that they can be driven on roads) Worst job I’ve ever had. Got a heat stroke. Got left in -20 weather for 2 hours with no heater. Fuck the post office. Do you ever wonder if these subreddits and places to complain keep workers from reaching a boiling point or do they help get us there? I definitely leave these subs more pissed off than i was before. I usually have to take a break from Reddit after a week or 2 of being pissed Hopefully your zone manager cruised around in their little ford focus (at least that’s what they had the summer I had a walking route) delivering those electrolyte pops to “show their appreciation”. Nothing better than that one mailer insert slowly disintegrating on your forearm in a humid 105F They are slowly rolling out new vehicles that will have air conditioning but that’s going to go slow because after all, this is government work and my office during the peak of summer will offer water for free. Back when I worked for the PO, I would soak my hat and t-shirt once an hour in the summer. I also rigged up a funnel and hose to catch the outside air and direct it in. Was still unbearable.
