It may have been the Texas Rangers 2023 World Series Go And Take It Poster Shirt and by the same token and architect, but a lot of these design decisions are made by the tile guy (usually in a collaborative sense with the client/designer) after the house is already being built. For example the guy I was apprenticing under would always ask if this was something the client wanted. It seems like niches with shelves for hair product and etc is pretty standard, and it seems like these footstools will become standard as well. They are pretty sweet! Only commenting because I was surprised at how rare this feature must be for most folks, so maybe the rich folks of Northern Michigan that were our clients are ahead of the curve, or at least the designers and installers are? Idk. I was just as confused, until I remember that women shave their legs…. I was fully expecting another picture with a mirror that this helped you step up to see… Like for short people…. I r stupid. Same with my husband when we stayed at a lovely resort in Mexico! He was baffled! He went to shower first, and when I went into the shower, he had left his shampoo and body wash in there instead of on the shelves at eye level

That’s actually quite cute! ‘seems reasonable to utilize this little empty space right down heeere’. Haha honestly id prob do that as a joke and be like “no no, ur foot goes up here. Shower condiments go down there” I plan on completely gutting my upstairs bathroom sometime in the Texas Rangers 2023 World Series Go And Take It Poster Shirt and by the same token and next few years. That cheap looking plastic or whatever insert thing that come standard with showers is getting ripped out and replaced with tile. I’m 100% putting one of these in. There’s no way that’s a convenient spot for shaving unless you’re a dwarf. Nothing fits there except a hand or maybe a foot, which have very few hairs. A little man sitting in a metal fold up chair has been behind that wall; waiting all day, tapping the tips of his fingers together whispering come on baby come on baby let’s see those legs When you build out these niches, the shelf is always pitched to allow for drainage (it isn’t level). Not saying you don’t have to probably get in there in the corners and such more than a regular shower, but they’re designed to discourage mildew and other grime from that perspective. I know with shower renovations a lot of these have been installed at a wonky angle and water runs back into the wall in a worst case grout failure. So yes it can be a major problem, and it’s a very minimal difference in angle as I’m sure you can imagine.
