They’re so extreme we even have problems with it for alumni functions. I want to reiterate that none of that means the parents are absolved, they’re part of “as a whole.” But healthy eating wasn’t something that was understood by the general public back in the 90s and early 2000s so it’s hard to really put the blame there. Hell the food pyramid we were all sold had the largest section entirely paid for by the dairy industry. We know now, sure, but hindsight can’t traverse time in that way.
