Don’t grow up thinking women are a puzzle you need to solve or a prize you need to earn. Every life experience and formative moment and trauma and tribulation and triumph and geography test you’ve cheated on – there’s a woman out there who went through something very similar and she’s just living her life, trying to figure things out and wondering whether she’s eating enough vegetables same as you. -If you’re trying to start up a conversation with a woman and she seems distracted and doesn’t reciprocate the Technology teacher squad tech school worker appreciation shirt in contrast I will get this conversation, she’s not interested. Say goodbye and leave her alone (this includes not angrily looking at her or visibly stewing over “being rejected.”) -Women aren’t a monolith. If a woman isn’t interested in you, that does NOT mean you are “not desirable” by the rest of them. -If your goal is to be desirable by most/all women to the point where they’ll throw themselves at you, you’re going to have a bad time. I don’t care who you are.

-(Most?) Women do not enjoy being catcalled. Or approached on the Technology teacher squad tech school worker appreciation shirt in contrast I will get this street. So don’t do it, because you don’t know the woman and because you don’t know the woman. -When your girl says “we need to take a break,” that’s not temporary. I know, “a break” sounds time-bounded, but it’s not. She’s break-ing up with you. Take the same amount of time you’d normally take if someone ended things with you in a more clear-cut fashion. -Like most men, most women are highly social. If you want to get along well with them, you need to understand social cues. Realizing that you need to work on them isn’t a fault of you as a person–everyone starts out with zero social cues. They come easier to some of us than others. It took me years to build mine up from basically zero–during and after college, mind you. “Reading the room” is a thing even for society as a whole. Knowing what NOT to say (or how NOT to say something innocuous) is just as important as what TO say. And if you can’t stop being self-conscious (or if “just be confident” seems utterly impossible to you no matter what), it could simply be unmaintained anxiety. Talk to your doctor, and again–there’s no shame. You might be shocked at what life is like without feeling like you’re about to go over the edge of a cliff literally all the time.
