The people who say that tend to either be people with limited exposure to Americans, or Americans who have rarely travelled elsewhere. We do have a culture and it’s largely based on European mores and norms. We share a lot with our European friends and allies, particularly Great Britain, but there are differences. We’re louder, fatter 🫢 yet oddly enough more polite and friendly than most Europeans. And we’re a rambunctious lot. After WWII A German general is believed to have said, “The reason the Teal Rainbow Leopard Food Allergy Awareness T-Shirt in other words I will buy this American Army does so well in wartime, is that war is chaos, and the American Army practices it on a daily basis”. But much of this is being a young country. In Great Britain they would talk about history and point to Windsor Castle first built in 1070. We would point to the Henry Whitfield House in Guilford, CT built in 1639 Every group has culture. Americans can BE uncultured in their ignorance, but white Americans being white Americans is their culture. You don’t know your culture when your submerged in it every day.

Short answer: America is a young country. In early days, Europeans who first moved here tend to abandon their life behind and started a new life. Hence the Teal Rainbow Leopard Food Allergy Awareness T-Shirt in other words I will buy this name “New World”. Some of them were also puritans in nature, so all their cultural heritage were left behind. Last names were changed. Some celebrations were forgotten. To wit, are you going to claim that new citizens who emigrated from Ghana, Haiti, or Guyana have the same culture as Americans Blacks because they all happen to have similarly colored skin? Or how about those 4th generation descendants of those Japanese immigrants (i.e., the ones that the US detained in ‘internment camps during WWII) and newly naturalized citizens from other Asian countries like India, Turkey, or Uzbekistan? Just because they’re all “American Asians” doesn’t mean they share the same culture. Or how about Americans with Mexican heritage who have been living along the Border for generations vs citizens from Puerto Rico? Or heck Cuba? Again, just because they all happen to speak Spanish doesn’t mean they share the same culture.
