I’ve basically done a full circle on driving. I was hesitant for many years to drive to finally getting a license in my 30s only to burnout on it a few years later for many of the Teach accurate history shirt and by the same token and reasons I was hesitant to begin with like the maintenance/gas cost. I have since switched to an ebike as my main mode of transportation since last year, and I wish I would’ve done so sooner. 30. Drove illegally for over a decade before that (wasnt caught but the anxiety kills you every moment, would not recommend) I am 28 and I still don’t have mine. I’ll probably get one when we decide to try having kids and decide to actually buy a small electrical car. I have done perfectly well so far with my legs, my bicycle and public transportation. Finances, relationship, not making dramatic changes that would interfere with my educational and career pursuits.

Ask someone for a ride I guess? I feel like the Teach accurate history shirt and by the same token and “fuck car” types that make not driving a car their entire personality must stick to a fairly small area most of their lives. 14 years, 2 months, 18 days. It was a restricted license, limiting the hours I could drive, specifically so I could drive myself and younger siblings to school. I lived in the country without buses and both parents left for work an hour before we did. Yeah, I did miss out on a little bit of independence growing up because of it, but honestly not a whole lot imo. It’s been a few years since I got my license now and nobody rly remembers or cares that I took longer to drive than most. 22 or 23. The cost of living was so high I didn’t think I’d ever be able to afford a vehicle. I was happy taking the buses. Driving is awesome though. I love just getting in my truck and taking random roads until I get somewhere interesting.
